Position Summary: The Bartender is responsible for serving alcohol in compliance with alcohol laws and regulations. Specific duties include serving drinks according to established recipes, clean and wash bar glassware, collecting money for guest checks, maintaining a clean and safe bar work area and providing a high level of guest services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Fully knowledgeable of drink recipes.
Knowledge of laws of liquor service and use the Approach policy to guide the sale of
alcohol to guests.
Keep work station clean at all times.
Perform side work duties and restock as needed
Inventory bar supplies
Stocking beer, wine and liquor
Washing bar glassware
Preparing bar condiments
Preparing inventory orders
Cleaning and stocking of the liquor storage area and walk-in coolers
Must be safety conscious, and adhere to all company rules at all times
Read and understand all particulars of Banquet Event Orders, including start time
and beverage requirements.
Ability to set-up Banquet function bar set-ups.
Collect all necessary equipment, beverages, etc. to set up designated area.
Polish all glassware and prepare needed bar fruit.
Report to Banquet Captain before ending work shift.
After function, remove inventory and all beverage equipment to proper storage.
Retrieve and store bar glassware to proper storage.
Work effectively and efficiently with the banquet team.
Expediently communicate any challenges, guest complaints or request to the
Respond to the Banquet Captain’s instructions and directions.
Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.
Use guest service skills as identified in the Employee Recognition Program
Meet company attendance requirements
Meet proper department uniform, appearance and grooming standards
