Soft Count Team Clerk

Reports to: Count Team Supervisor
Position Summary: The Count Team Clerk is responsible for the counting of all paper currency from drops and collections. Specific duties include counting pit drops, BVA drops, food and beverage banks, retail outlet banks, counting and wrapping of paper currency, maintaining counting equipment, maintain records of counting process, ensure a high level of safety and security and insure compliance to all gaming regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pull bill validator boxes from slot machines
- Run currency through a computerized currency counter
- Accurately count and record money totals
- Transport money
- Run reports on the computer
- Follow rules and regulations set up by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission
- Communicate between all key people
- Keep work area clean
- Must be safety conscious, and adhere to all company rules at all times
- Use guest service skills as identified in the Personalized Outrageous Guest Service Program
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications and Requirements: Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Special Attendance Requirements: The Wild Rose Casino & Resort is in operation seven days a week, 365 days a year. This position requires early morning hours (3:30 a.m. & 5:00 a.m.)
Employees will be required to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and overtime. We are not able to work around outside activities or other jobs unless it is agree to, in writing, at time of hire.
Education and/or experience: Prior money handling experience required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is desirable.
Work Environment/Physical Demands: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
