Wild Rose Jefferson Announces Second Kenny Rogers Concert

JEFFERSON, Iowa (July 9, 2015) — Wild Rose Jefferson today announced that country icon and pop crossover artist Kenny Rogers will perform a second show on Saturday night, August 8, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the casino’s grand opening celebration. The show will be in the Greene Room Event Center and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets go on sale today on the Wild Rose website. The ticket price is $41.50.

“The first show sold out in 26 hours,” said Mike Couch, general manager. “We took a chance and asked the booking agency if Mr. Rogers would do a second show and he said ‘yes.’ We are thrilled to be able to offer another performance.”

Brad Morgan will be performing both Friday and Saturday nights in Coaches Corner at 9 p.m. No tickets are necessary for that show.

The grand opening celebration takes place over three days, August 7, 8 and 9. The festivities are as follows:

Friday August 7

  • 10 a.m. — “A Token of Our Appreciation Giveaway.” The first 200 people will receive a commemorative .999 fine silver, custom-minted Wild Rose token.
  • 5 p.m. — First Dice Roll — craps table
  • 6 p.m. — Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting, Main Entrance (weather permitting, rain location the Promenade).
  • 9 p.m. — Brad Morgan, Coaches Corner. The show is free; no ticket necessary.
  • 10 p.m. — Fireworks Extravaganza, front parking lot.

Saturday August 8

  • 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. — $5,000 “A Token of Our Appreciation Drawing” — Sign up for Players Club and receive an entry for the drawing. Tokens and cash prizes awarded hourly from on the casino floor.
  • 9 p.m. — Brad Morgan, Coaches Corner. The show is free; no ticket necessary.

Sunday August 9

  • 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. — $5,000 “A Token of Our Appreciation Drawing” — Sign up for Players Club and receive an entry for the drawing. Tokens and cash prizes awarded hourly from on the casino floor.
