“The commencement of hiring and staffing marks the most significant benchmark in the project so far,” Couch said. “For months, we have been receiving inquiries about the hiring process through emails, phone calls and social media. Now, we can provide definitive details, knowing that the opening and grand opening are just around the corner.”
MEET NANCY WEBB
Some folks in Greene County may already know Nancy Webb. A human resources professional with more than 30 years of experience, Webb grew up in Grand Junction, Iowa, and graduated from East Greene High School. She left Greene County to attend Drake University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in human services/personnel management. During her career, Webb has helped to launch startup companies and supported growing companies with customer service-centered and hospitality-focused human resources.
In addition, she has management team experience with an out-of-state Native American casino, and most recently she worked for an upscale senior living organization where she initiated programs to achieve higher employee retention and engagement. Webb will report directly to Couch and be responsible for staffing, training, compensation and benefits as well as for designing programs to deliver a high level customer service for guests and players.
“Nancy’s experience, background and interest in getting back to Greene County made her a perfect fit to lead our HR functions,” Couch said. “She officially joins the team on April 1, and we cannot wait to have her here.”
