Position Title: IT Technician

Reports to: IT Manager

Position Summary: The IT Technician is responsible for providing superior guest service through the functions of this position to all Wild Rose Casino & Hotel guests.

In addition to the below key duties and responsibilities, all Wild Rose team members are ambassadors of the Wild Rose brand and culture.

Essential Functions: The essential functions and responsibilities of this position are:

• Ensure proper functioning of the company’s information process system
• Investigates and resolves user software and hardware problems
• Answers questions and resolves problems by applying knowledge of software, hardware and procedures
• Provides oral and written reports and analysis to IT Manager
• Talks to programmers, administrators and outside consultants to explain software errors or to recommend changes to programs
• Calls software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products
• Assists internal user with computer software and hardware problems
• Interact professionally with the staff; maintain effective working relationships and works in cooperation with the management team to meet department objectives
• Meets company attendance requirements
• Maintain strict confidentiality relative to personal and casino data, policies and procedures
• Adheres to all safety requirements
• Use guest service skills as identified in the Employee Recognition Program.
• Other duties assigned

The schedule for this position is classified as full-time for 2nd shift 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm or 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm including weekends.

Salary: Starting base rate $17.00/ per hour

Qualifications and Requirement: Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. 

Special Attendance Requirements: The Wild Rose Casino and Hotel is in operation seven days a week, 365 days a year. Employees will be required to workdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and overtime. We are not able to work around outside activities or other jobs unless it is agreed to, in writing, at time of hire. 

Education and/or Experience: AA degree in Computer related field or equivalent experience preferred. National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is desirable. 

Work Environment/Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle to feel objects, reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near computer equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
